We're a small team based in China, rooted in the world's largest freshwater pearl farming region and one of the busiest hubs for seawater pearl trade. Growing up surrounded by pearls, we've always seen them as more than jewelry — they're a story of patience, craftsmanship, and care passed down through generations. With Y&J Pearl, we simply want to share that story with you, one beautiful piece at a time.

Xiaojia grew up in a family of pearl artisans, watching her parents source raw pearls and design jewelry for nearly two decades. She later earned her master's degree in the UK, where she spent five wonderful years broadening her view of the world before bringing that perspective back home. As a second-generation jeweler, pearls have always felt personal to her — not just a business, but a part of who she is. That's why she founded Y&J Pearl: to share the culture and craft she grew up with. True to her family's exacting standards, Xiaojia still handpicks every single pearl herself, because she believes every customer deserves nothing less than the best.

Johnny studied management at Sun Yat-sen University and spent the next ten years building online retail businesses across Europe and the US. Today, he leads all of Y&J Pearl's day-to-day operations, bringing that hands-on retail experience to help our little brand reach more homes around the world. But for Johnny, it's never just about numbers — his real goal is simple: he wants every customer to smile the moment they open their package.
